Founded by Katie, a City & Guilds qualified upholsterer with a background in History of Art & Design and Heritage Management, Meticulous Restoration combines craftsmanship, creativity, and sustainability. Katie offers upholstery courses and commissioned furniture restoration, sharing 15 years of teaching experience and a lifelong passion for heritage craft skills.

With professional experience spanning the National Archives, the National Trust, and the furniture industry, Katie brings a deep understanding of design history and the stories objects can tell. Her mission is to restore and renew quality furniture using traditional processes and beautiful fabrics – giving each vintage chair a fresh chapter while moving towards a more sustainable way of living.
