Creative Collage Workshops in The Orangery - Sat 19th or Sun 20th Feb

10am – 4pm
Create handcrafted collages with artist Barnaby Goode in the Orangery at Bishton Hall. A beautiful grade 2 listed Georgian Estate.
Collage’ is a process of reimagining existing images. Using photographs, cutouts from books and magazines to create a fresh visual perspective.
You will have the opportunity to construct hand generated images. The process is very stimulating. The results are immediate and have a crude aesthetic. Many students say they ‘lose themselves’ during the creative process. An indulgent immersion into one’s own mind. Synchronised with the visual projection of the artwork itself. In this respect, creating collages has therapeutic benefits.
We will explore key design elements; scale, proportion, grids, colour, texture and typography. Enabling the development of an original style.
You will produce some experimental pieces and some refined finished artworks. The pieces will be ready for framing. Serving as an ideal personalised gift or bespoke artwork for your home.
It’s a brilliant opportunity to learn something new and to share a unique experience with friends in stunning surroundings.
Important:
The same workshop will run independently on two separate days. You can book onto one, or both,
If you attend both, the second session will be used to create more collages; refining your style from day one with personalised tutor support.
